I thought of this the other day. I basically took an hour from a previous night time and dragged it all into a pad and exported it as a single cart. So what I've ended up with is a cart that can be used this Sunday as the extra hour in the schedule quickly and easily and is probably still relevant for next year. It took about 2 minutes to do and will save quite a lot of time!Just a thought! Neil

Hi Neil,Yes that will work fine as long as you are running Myriad v3. Whilst Myriad v2.6 had the ability to export a PAd to a single Cart, it did not 'mix' the Carts together but rather just play one after the other like a juke box. When you export a Pad run in Myriad v3, the system overlays the Carts so that the next Cart in the list will start at the Extro of the previous so your exported Cart will sound exactly as if Myriad had played it out in real time (except for sweepers which are not handled). So in short, yes if you are running Myriad v3, no if you are running Myriad v2.6. Hope this helps.

For some future version can we have something where we can schedule an hour twice? Our set up seems to cope brilliantly with time changes and on the stroke of the change goes to the correct time (althought last year we had an hour of IRN pips cos someone forgot about it ) IIRC there are other systems that can have a double 1am hour.

I've tried an experiment at Radio Royal.... I've tested it as well as I can by changing the system time at the right moment.I've set up our 1am hour with 2 hours of music as you would expect, however I've left all the exact time markers in! So at the 01:59:50 marker the news in will fire. There are then 2 x 90 second empty carts followed by a 01:03:01 marker with the news out command. A usual hour of music follows. A second 01:59:50 marker fires the news off again. The hour is set to run to time and apear to take advantage of a "feature" that myriad only apears to look to back time to the next ETM even if ones after it are earlier (as normally you wouldn't do that, cos that would be stupid!) As I say iI'm hopefull it'll work but I'll post back next Friday if it worked or not!

Well!It would have all gone fine if anyone had turned up after the football to put us back into automation, but no one did and we were off air all night Always next year then.

For those who may like an updated confirmation that this works, here is one! This year we tried Craig's method above, copied an hour of content from a previous log into a cart list, then dragged and dropped the items back into the log in the 2am hour. Myriad does indeed appear to look to only backtime to the next time marker, and we ran it all in Auto-Fade mode. As long as your radio clock is working properly then you should have no problems. Cheers Craig for the suggestion (from 4 years ago!) Adam Seaside HR
