yes, i got that too Phil and mine are lots of clients so no, it's not your config.
I had some hours with 25 ads in then some blank oh the joys of beta testing!
I guess the good people are working on that tho so shouldnt be long.
Just the ability to see the load across the hours was worth it - used to take me hours and hours keeping that info up to date.

Hi All,
I think we may have gotten to the bottom of this one - there's an issue with the way 'banded' adverts are scheduled which causes different adverts with similar banding to be scheduled to play in the same hours as each other - basically it's not quite random enough!
This has now been tweaked and we'll be doing some testing here over the next few weeks. Hopefully this should be sorted and will be included in the next release.
Normally we would have to wait for the next full release of Myriad, but we might be able to release an experimental advert manager release early so i'll see what we can do

A couple of things I've noticed.
ISSUE ONE:
There is now a time as well as date on the Start and End dates. (The old v2.6 manager only had a date).
It appears that a lot (not had chance to check all) of the Adverts which where imported from our old database have an end date imported correctly - but with an end time of 00:59.
This had me cursing why an advert which I thought expired at the end of today '28 feb' was no longer in the current list (as it expired at after the first hour of today.)
Also many have a start time of 23:00 - though as these are historic dates it's not as big a issue.
ISSUE TWO:
If you type a date into the Date and Time Range box in the from box - i.e. 1/3/10 then tab to the end date (it updates the display on the 'from' to the full format) and type say 31/3/10 - then hit the 'enter' key - the Advert window closes. However when you reopen the advert the end date is not saved - while the other information (start date - plays schedule etc.) is saved.

Hi Phil,
Thanks for those, both now sorted and will be included in the next release.

Hi All,
V3.5.14 of the Advert Manager is now available from the download area. Don't forget that if you are running it on the same machine as any other v3.5 products you must also update these at the same time.
Note: There is currently no Remote Voice Tracking v3.5.14 so don't upgrade if you are using RES or RVT v3.5.12 on the same computer

Hi Phil & All
installed and using the new version.
There is still a bit of disparity when it comes to number of ads in an hour using the banding approach. my noon hour today for example has 5 ads in it and 11am had 13 ads.
Might be a thought whilst you are working on this to be able to specify a length of time max for ad's in an hour or a max number of ads per hour. This would mean we can stay below the industry accepted standard of 9-12 minutes max and know that myriad will adjust for this.
what do you think?

Hi Glyn,
Can you send us a support file including the advert database and your station database so we can have a look at it here?

Ok, done that Peter,
FYI, i'm noticing also that within the hour itself it isnt spreading the ads through the breaks either - if you look in the log for tonight (1st April) at 21:00 you'll see ad break 1 has 2 ads, ad break 2 has 6 and break 3 has 5 ads.
