Help Help Help

This will seem minor as far as problems go but i can not seem to find any answers i am looking for in the forums or in the manuals.

All i want to do is add script to the script viwer for presenters to read out public notices. i am assuming you write something in word but i am unsure as to where to save the document so that it can be opened in the script viwer.

anyone any ideas....
thanx

I think you need to save the file as rtf format. I'm not near a Myriad terminal at the moment, b ut isn't there a folder called \"scripts\" somewhere, possibly in system where the file needs to be saved.

Maybe someone can confirm.

Script Viewer: The Script Viewer option opens the script viewer window, which can be used to
view scripts listed in the Scripts sub folder of the Myriad System location.
The script view lists all RTF format files in the Scripts sub folder of the Myriad System folder,
on the left hand side of the Script Viewer window and the main body of the text in the right hand
panel. Because the Script Viewer uses RTF (rich text format) files, you can include coloured,
highlighted and different sized text and fonts in your scripts. Myriad does not include an RTF
file editor so scripts must be written using an RTF compatible word processor program such as
Microsoft WordPad, which comes free with Windows. Word can also save files in the RTF format.

Taken from Psquared Manual use your wordpad and make sure you save in RTF and add to your script folder in system on your hard drive[/i]

scripts are on the server
If you've got the standard P2 setup, it'll probably be somewhere like
M:\\System\\Scripts (ie, in the main myriad share, under the system folder)

Sounds like you've got all the info now :-)

For those running Myriad v3, it's worth noting that you can display other types of file as well as RTF files.

Myriad v3 also supports webpages, TXT files and virtually any other type of readable document.

You can also use the \"View Items\" options in Myriad System to assign certain documents their own menu options directly on the View Menu - very usefull for Contact Information, regular sponsor reads etc.

Another good use is for Weather. Then you just update the same file with the latest weather info and next time they view it in the studio, it's automatically updated.

If you decide to \"link\" to a web page, make sure you have turned off Windows Sounds or you'll get a lovely \"tick\" sound every time a page is displayed in the browser.
